Privacy Policy
This statement is the Privacy Policy of the Swiss Finance Council (SFC). It covers any interaction you may have with the SFC.
The Privacy Policy is intended to inform you, for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), about the data we collect, the purpose for collecting it, the way we use it and the rights you have regarding the processing, modification and deletion of your data.

SFC shall always collect and process personal data obtained from third parties in compliance with the GDPR and the terms of the Privacy Policy.
What is collected?
The following data may be collected: name, email address, job title, organization and country, phone numbers and information provided when you register for meetings and events, such as dietary requirements.
Use of your data
We will only use your data in connection with our ordinary professional activities. This may include:
- Relaying information by communicating with you electronically in relation to events which we organise, information we publish or those we may sponsor or partner with any other organisation with whom we work;
- For any purpose related to the foregoing or for any purpose for which you provided the personal data to SFC.
The processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest of promoting our events, activities and publications or on your consent allowing us to process your personal data for these purposes.

More specifically, you have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you which is based on SFC’s legitimate interest. SFC shall no longer process the personal data unless it demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. Where personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing.

This Statement may be subject to updates or amendments, which will be available on our website. We encourage you to periodically review it to ensure that you are still happy with it. This Privacy Policy is effective from May 2018.
